High Coast Terroir Gin
In September 2016 Hernö Gin released Sweden’s first Terroir Gin, Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin. In September 2017 a new edition of Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin was released. The 2017 edition is distilled with juniper berries, rowan berries, willow herb, spruce shoots and hops. All picked by hand in the UNESCO World Heritage Area of the High Coast.
A floral and spicy gin, piney and herbaceous. A gin that will give you the feel of walking in the forest of the High Coast of Sweden.
Nose: An array of floral notes upfront, spicy and fresh. Underlying depth of deep blue juniper.
Palate: Herbaceous and piney. Slightly creamy and sweet spruce shoots that develops into rich blue juniper. Very sippable.
Finish: Juniper lingers for a long time, a little warmth at the end accompanied with spiciness – a dry finish.
2016: 212 bottles, all sold out. 45,5% ABV.
2017: 399 bottles, all sold out. 44,1% ABV.
SERVE: Neat over ice or in a Gin & Tonic.
